The flavors of a favorite sandwich are turned into a dessert dip! Get out the graham crackers to dip into this addictive Peanut Butter and Jelly Dip.
I’m normally a planner. I have a calendar that is filled out with what I am posting, and I stick to it for the most part.
Until I see a recipe and I have to have it. Right. Now.
On Wednesday, I was doing some work with The Rachael Ray Show on in the background. And I stopped dead in my tracks when they started talking cheeseballs. I’m kind of infatuated with cheeseballs, and the last time they made cheeseballs on the Rachael Ray Show, I had to jump right in and make one. (Haha – when I made that Cannoli Cheeseball, I rearranged my posting plans then, too!)
Well, Rachael strikes again. While most of the cheeseballs were savory (and I want to make them all, too!), the last cheeseball demonstrated was a Peanut Butter and Jelly Cheeseball. I love the classic peanut butter cheeseball, so I was all over the idea of adding in some jelly.
And since I’m a loser and didn’t post one recipe for the SuperBowl this weekend, I decided to throw all caution to the wind and jump right into the kitchen and try that cheeseball.
So yesterday, I got to work. I guess I shouldn’t say work, because this is really no work at all. 10 minutes. Or less. Seriously. I opted to go the dip route instead of the cheeseball route, simply because I really wanted the peanut butter and jelly flavors to stand out, and adding extra jelly made the mixture too soft to form a ball. But hey – by making it a dip, it’s a little easier and way faster. Can’t beat that!!
As a lover of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I thought this dip was perfection. I served it up with some graham crackers, but I think any sort of sweet crackers, or even pretzels would be delicious.
This Peanut Butter and Jelly Dip would be a perfect sweet addition to the spread of football food this weekend, or any weekend, for that matter!
