The sweet and salty/savory combo here is perfection, and you really just can’t beat a dinner that is this easy!

Ingredients
- Pork Chops: For this recipe, you’ll need boneless pork chops that are about 1/2-inch thick. If your pork chops are thicker, they will need more time to cook.
- Salt and Pepper: The pork chops are seasoned simply with salt and pepper. You can add other spices, if desired, but most of the flavor will come from the glaze.
- Brown Sugar: This gives the sauce a bit of sweetness. It also helps the sauce to get a little sticky.
- Soy Sauce: I suggest using a low sodium soy sauce so that the finished pork chops aren’t too salty.
- Vinegar: I like to use apple cider vinegar, but you could easily sub in another vinegar. If you do need other sub it out, I would suggest white vinegar or white wine vinegar.
- Garlic: Fresh garlic is best here. If you don’t have any garlic, you can add in some garlic powder.
- Smoked Paprika & Cayenne Pepper: These are the only spices you’ll need for the glaze. If you want to cut out any heat, you can leave out the cayenne pepper.
- Oil: You will cook the pork chops in oil, so I like to use olive oil or avocado oil. You could also use vegetable or canola oil.
- Butter: You’ll need just a little bit of butter to make the glaze nice and rich.

How to Make Glazed Pork Chops
STEP 1: Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Let them sit for a few minutes while you prepare the sauce.
STEP 2: For the glaze, simply mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, water, vinegar, garlic, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well, and set aside until needed.

STEP 3: Heat the oil in a large skillet. Once hot, add the pork chops and cook until they are browned on both sides. They should almost be done cooking at this point. Remove them from the skillet.
STEP 4: In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the sauce and cook until it is slightly thickened. Then add your pork chops back into the skillet, coating them with the glaze. Cook for a few more minutes, or until the pork is cooked to 145ºF. Serve the pork chops with the glaze from the skillet.

Tips and Tricks
These are best served with something to help soak up that glaze, like mashed potatoes or rice.
I usually only need one pork chop, especially when serving with mashed potatoes. But if you have people that have bigger appetites, you may need to plan on 2 pork chops per person.
You want to make sure you don’t overcook the pork chops. They don’t take long to cook at all. Having an instant read thermometer comes in really handy.

Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 6 (1/2-inch) thick boneless pork chops (about 1.75 pounds)
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Season the pork generously with salt and pepper. Let it sit while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, water, garlic, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the pork chops to the hot oil and cook, turning once, until they are cooked to 140ºF. This should take about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
- Reduce the heat slightly, and add butter. When melted, add the glaze ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook until slightly thickened.
- Return the pork to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Continue to cook for another few minutes, until the pork is 145ºF.
- Serve topped with any remaining glaze in the skillet.
