If you love the flavors of apple pie, you’ll love these overnight oats. The apples and cinnamon make every bite taste like a warm fall treat, but you get to eat them for breakfast! They are perfect for busy mornings when you want something filling and delicious without having to cook.

Ingredients
- Old Fashioned Oats: Old fashioned oats, also known as rolled oats, are my favorite for overnight oats because they soften in the refrigerator while they still maintain some texture. Quick oats would be much softer and mushy.
- Yogurt: I like to use Greek yogurt for the extra protein. I tend to stick with plain yogurt, but if you want some extra flavor, you could use vanilla yogurt.
- Chia Seeds: Chia seeds not only help give the oats a great texture, but they add fiber and protein, as well.
- Apples: I prefer a crisp and sweet apple because it gives the overnight oats plenty of apple flavor. For these, I did a mixture of honey crisp and Granny Smith apples.
- Pecans: The pecans help to accentuate that apple pie flavor. If you aren’t a nut fan, fee free to leave these out.
- Maple Syrup: I like to use maple syrup for the sweetener because it adds great fall flavor. It doesn’t call for a lot, so if you like your oats sweeter, feel free to increase this amount.
- Cinnamon: Cinnamon is the perfect spice for that apple pie flavor, and most people have it on hand. You can also swap in pumpkin pie spice.
- Milk: You can use your favorite milk. Dairy milk, oat milk, almond milk, or another milk alternative should all work.

How to Make Apple Pie Overnight Oats
Making these overnight oats is as simple as mixing everything together!
I like to start with the oats, then add the yogurt, chia seeds, apples, pecans, and cinnamon. Then add the maple syrup and milk.
Stir everything together before placing the lid on your container and refrigerating overnight.
Give the oats a stir in the morning before eating and enjoying!

Tips and Tricks
These will turn out pretty thick, which is how I like them. If you like them thinner, you can stir in some additional milk or yogurt before serving.
I like to top them with some chopped apples before serving, but this is totally optional. They really are good enough to just grab and go!
Overnight oats are designed to be eaten straight from the refrigerator. If you prefer them warm, feel free to gently warm them in the microwave.
I like to use half pint jars, as they are a great serving size. If you have different jars or containers, feel free to use them, but you may get more or less servings.
