I’m doing a double-duty post today!! First off, I am blogging about how to clean leeks today over at the Cafe Zupas blog. Head over and check it out!

And second – the wonderful folks over at Ergo Chef contacted me about their knives. Let me tell you first of all that I am a total knife snob. I have to have a sharp, quality knife. It is probably the #1 thing I would say is the most important in your kitchen. They sent me one of their Santuko knives, and let me tell you – I knew from the first cut that this was going to become my new favorite knife!! It was so sharp that as I was cutting the leeks in half, using the tip of the knife, I actually cut a line in my cutting board. This baby was sharp!! Not only was is super sharp, but it felt great in my hand and I felt like I had complete control while cutting – which is a very important thing to me. The only complaint I have about this knife is that it is too big to fit in my cutting block and I’ll have to find another safe place to store it!!

The wonderful folks at Ergo Chef have also sent me a knife from their Guy Fieri line to giveaway to one of you! It is the Knuckle Sandwich 5.5″ Utility Knife – perfect for cutting fruit, tomatoes, cheese, bread and sandwiches. It is a $75.00 value!!
