Slow-Cooker Asian Pepper Steak
Asian Pepper Steak - sirloin is cooked in the slow cooker with peppers, ginger, and garlic, and served over rice for a delicious slow cooked meal.

Ingredients
Beef:
2
tablespoons
extra-virgin olive oil
3
pounds
beef sirloin
3
tablespoons
cornstarch
3
cloves
garlic
minced
2
tablespoons
grated garlic
1
large onion
sliced
3
red bell peppers
sliced
3
yellow bell peppers
sliced
1
8 oz can tomato sauce
4
tablespoons
brown sugar
3/4
cup
soy sauce
freshly ground black pepper
to taste
For serving:
2
cups
bean sprouts
1
cup
cilantro
roughly chopped
2
limes
prepared rice
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet then sear the meat until brown on both sides. Remove to a cutting board and slice into 1-inch strips.
Place the steak in the slow cooker, then sprinkle the cornstarch over. Mix the meat around until the cornstarch has soaked into the meat.
Add the garlic, ginger, onion, all peppers, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and soy sauce to the slow cooker. Place the lid on and cook on low for 6 hours.
When ready to serve, serve the meat mixture on top of rice and top with the bean sprouts, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
