In a very large bowl, combine the Chex and the bugles. Set aside.
12 oz Rice Chex, 8 oz Bugles
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and cook until the sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat and stir in the pumpkin pie spice and the vanilla.
3/4 cup butter, 3/4 cup light brown sugar, 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Pour the sugar mixture over the cereal, and gently stir until combined. Carefully transfer the mixture to 2 rimmed baking sheets. (Be careful, as the sugar mixture will burn you if you touch it.)
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, stirring once or twice during cook time. You can also rotate the trays halfway through the bake time, if desired.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
Once cool, add the cereal mixture to a large bowl. Add the pretzels, candy corn, mellowcreme pumpkins, and M&Ms. Mix to combine.
