Cake:
3cupsall-purpose flour
2 1/2teaspoonsbaking powder
3teaspoonsground ginger
2teaspoonsground cinnamon
1/2teaspoonground cloves
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspoonbaking soda
1/2cupgranulated sugar
1/2cupbrown sugar
1/2cupbuttermelted
1/2cupoil
1cupunsulphured molasses
2large eggs
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
1cupboiling water
Frosting:
8ozcream cheeseat room temperature
1/2cupbutterat room temperature
3/4cupbrown sugar
2cupspowdered sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
1/4teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, or line with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
