A view of 2 days in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
What do you say? How to do you express in words what you see and experience in this vast park?
I have been putting this post off for some time because I haven’t quite known what to write. No matter what I say, I know that my words cannot convey the sites that you see, the wildlife you get a front row seat to.
All I can say is that I am amazed at this earth that we live on. So often, we go through life just noticing what is in front of us, but when you see the geysers and canyons and geology surrounding you in this park, you realize just how complex the earth actually is. And beautiful. Stunning. Breathtaking.
We had only planned for 2 days at the park, and got rained out for half a day, so we really only scratched the surface. I can’t wait until we have the chance to go back to Yellowstone to see all that we missed – it truly is an amazing place!!
Since words can’t describe what we saw, I’m hoping you’ll get a small glimpse through my photographs today. Believe it or not, I narrowed the photos down (I took hundreds!) but there are still quite a few here.
I hope you all get the chance to experience Yellowstone National Park one day!

My hubby and I had a tripped planned to Yellowstone last September but then my cat had to have surgery – thankfully we have rescheduled for this September and I am so excited. Your post is perfect fodder to feed my research gathering activities as I figure out what I do and don’t want to do!

I haven’t been to Yellowstone…yet. But I know I would love it. Your photos are great, and I especially love the one of the bison hanging out on the road. I would be so thrilled to come upon that scene!

Great job on the photos! Yellowstone’s on our travel list for this Summer, can’t wait! That buffalo in the road is just too awesome – our kids would go nuts if they saw that! 🙂
