Description

A favorite flavor combination, this Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza is topped with ranch dressing, chunks of chicken, crispy bacon and lots of cheese.

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb bacon, chopped
  • 1 skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces (about 8 oz)
  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup prepared Ranch salad dressing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Place a pizza stone in the oven and preheat the oven to 450ºF.* Let the oven heat up for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Place the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon to a paper towel covered plate.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet with the bacon grease. Cook, stirring as needed, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Roll the dough into a 12” circle.**
  5. Spread the ranch dressing evenly over the dough, leaving a 1” border around the dough.
  6. Sprinkle both cheeses evenly over the dressing, followed by the bacon and the chicken.
  7. Place the pizza in the oven and back until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is browned, 10-15 minutes.
  8. Add the tomatoes and green onion to the top of the pizza before serving.

Recipe Notes:

*I always use a pizza stone – I think it makes a big difference in the final product. They are relatively inexpensive and they last a long time. I always preheat mine for 30 minutes before baking a pizza on it.

**I like to use parchment paper when I make pizza – it makes it easy to transfer the pizza to the oven and holds up under the hot heat for the short amount of time it takes to bake the pizza.

I also like a bit of a thinner crust, so I use less than 1 lb of dough. You can change this according to your preferences.
