I don’t know what it is about New York City, but to me, there is something magical. I can’t explain it, but I feel it every time if visit – more than any other city I’ve been to.
Which is exactly why 24 hours is just not enough!!
Our day was spent eating, walking, shopping, and seeing some of New York’s most iconic tourist spots. This was my 4th visit to the city, but only my husband’s second. I have been to the top a few times, but the first time my husband and I visited the city together, we went to go to the top of the Empire State Building, but the line was so long that we decided to skip it. One great thing about visiting in February, though, besides the cold, is that the lines are shorter for the attractions. So we decided to go to the Empire State Building, and we even splurged on the tickets that take you all the way to the 102nd floor. (Regular admission takes you to the observation deck on the 82nd floor.) I love learning about the history of places, and the tour at the Empire State Building really brought it all alive for me. It’s amazing what they were able to do and build back then!!
We also made sure we visited Times Square that night after dinner. It’s a must see, and it didn’t hurt that we were staying so close! You can feel the electricity and excitement from the city just standing in the center watching all of the lights and people. I think it’s something everyone must experience sometime in their life!!
Even though it was a short trip, it was so much fun, and I can’t wait to go back. And now I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
