I have never been good about choosing gifts. For that matter, I’ve never even been good about expressing what I want for gifts. But in my efforts to change, I have compiled a list of my top picks for gifts you can get for that person in your life who loves to spend time in the kitchen. Or maybe you want a few of these things, so you can send this list over to your loved ones. Either way, these are things that are musts in my kitchen. As much as I love pretty things, I tried to keep the list more on the useful side.
Happy shopping!!
Instant Pot: I’ve already brought this one up over on Facebook the last couple days because there have been some great Black Friday sales on Amazon. And I’m hoping the sales will continue through the weekend and into Cyber Monday. This has easily become my favorite kitchen appliance. I mainly use it for the pressure cooking capabilities, but it actually does so much!! (There is a 6-in-1 model and a 7-in-1 model that has a yogurt making capability. Amazon has had deals on both the last few days, so I’d watch both of them!)
OXO Scoops: Not only do I use my scoops for cookie dough, but I use them for filling cupcakes, for making meatballs, for truffles, for biscuits – they really are super versatile and I use them all the time. And I love having all three sizes on hand for different things.
Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker: While I dream of a fancy ice cream maker that doesn’t require having to freeze the bowl, this ice cream maker is inexpensive, and totally does what it is supposed to do. I bought an extra bowl so that I always have one in the freezer.
Inspiralizer: Ok, so I jumped on the spiralizing bandwagon super late, but I’m hooked. After doing lots of research and reading lots of reviews, I decided to go for the Inspiralizer. It’s the only I’ve tried, but I’ve been very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.
Thermapen: Ok. This – this is the one gadget that I wish I would have bought years ago. I can’t believe how much I use this, and how much I am in love with it. I’ve owned lots of instant read thermometers over the years, but none have held up at all, and none have been that accurate. This Thermapen reads temperatures in 2-3 seconds and is incredibly accurate. I haven’t over or undercooked meat since I bought this! Just a note – while I love Amazon, and I order a lot through them, I wouldn’t suggest ordering this one from Amazon. They are much cheaper ordering straight from the product’s website.
Thoughtfully Gift Boxes: So I talked about these a couple weeks back, but if you are looking for a “fun” gift, you have to check out these gift boxes. I love how creative and cute they are. These boxes are a great gift idea for those people who have it all already.
And cookbooks!! I could easily make a list of just cookbooks that I think would make great gifts, but for this guide, I narrowed it down to 3.
The Weeknight Dinner Cookbook: I’ve raved about this cookbook more than once, but it has become a go-to book for me, and every recipe I have tried from it has been a winner.
The Cookies & Cups Cookbook: I have talked about this cookbook, and it could easily be a go-to for sweet recipes, but there are actually lots of savory recipes that I’ve fallen in love with, too. Win, win!!
Skinnytaste Fast and Slow: This is a new addition to my collection, and I can’t wait to make my way through it. I already love Gina’s first cookbook, so I knew this one would be a winner, too. I love that there are pressure cooker recipes included, too – perfect for that Instant Pot!
