Cupbop – Utah Food Truck serving Korean-stlye BBQ.
If there is one food truck that has taken Utah by storm more than any other food truck, it would be Cupbop. Serving Korean-style BBQ, Cupbop is one truck that will always have a line, no matter where you find them.
In fact, they are so popular that they now not only have 3 trucks, but they also have a brick and mortar store in Provo. And Utahns love those Korean flavors so much, that they have started a new truck that serves Korean style tacos (review coming soon!)
They are definitely known for their food, but almost just as appealing is their customer service. These guys know how to have fun. It is not uncommon to see them dancing or singing, or being playful and joking with their customers. You won’t find an friendlier bunch out there!!
Their signature menu item are their bowls – with different meats, rice, veggies and noodles. And then what makes them unique is the sauce that goes on top. You get to choose your heat level – from a 1 to a 10, 1 being very mild and 10 being very spicy. Each number is a unique mix of their chile, mayo and soy sauces that create different levels of spiciness. So you can go easy, or you can go bold!
They have a few different items on their menu, but I will admit that I have stuck with the same thing every time. (No need to mess with perfection!!) I love the combo bowl, which has rice, lettuce and sweet potato noodles, topped with beef and pork. And I think the 7.5 on the sauce is the perfect heat level – hot enough to feel it, but not so hot that your tongue goes numb. Also not to be missed is the Mandu – Korean potstickers. They are some of the best potstickers you can find in Utah, and are topped with the signature sauces. I like to stick with the same spice level as I do on the combo cup.
The Cupbop portions are very generous, and prices are decent for a food truck. You will most likely face a long line, but they move through the lines pretty quickly and are always entertaining, so it’s definitely not the worst line to wait in. Cupbop is definitely a Taste and Tell favorite!
Cupbop is great at updating their location on Instagram, and you can always find them at their Provo store (815 N 700 E in Provo). You can also follow them on Twitter or Facebook.

Do you know if they have gluten free options?

You know, I’m not sure. I don’t think it has anything that specifically says that it’s gluten free on the menu, but it would be worth asking them for sure!
