Description

An easy sorbet made from chocolate and coconut milk, this Chocolate Coconut Sorbet is an easy sorbet recipe to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 8 oz bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 cups Thai coconut milk (not sweetened coconut milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, sugar and salt over medium heat until warmed, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove the mixture from the heat.
  3. Add the chocolate and whisk until it is melted and combined.
  4. Whisk in the coconut milk and the vanilla.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator until completely cold.
  6. Freeze the mixture according to your ice cream maker’s instructions.

Recipe Notes:

If a layer of coconut milk has formed on top, simply whisk it in before churning.
