I’ve been tagged again – this time from Mary at Shazam in the Kitchen and from Emiline at Sugarplum Sweets. I did a similar meme back in July of last year, but it was 8 random facts. This one is only 5 – Thank Goodness, because coming up with 5 more is hard enough!! And since both of them posted photos from their childhood, I have done the same! My mom has all of the pictures from when I was a kid, but luckily I still had a few of them that I stole from her a couple years ago for my wedding video.

Rules: 1. Link to your tagger and post these rules. 2. Share 5 facts about yourself 3. Tag 5 people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them). 4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs.Me, at 6 months old. I still have those chubby hands!

1 – I am afraid of parking lots. I don’t particularly like driving, but I am especially paranoid in parking lots – pulling out of parking spaces, going around corners…Maybe it’s because the last 2 fender benders I have been in have been in parking lots. (Both not my fault!!)

2 – Speaking of driving – I have no tickets on my record. The last time I was pulled over was over 10 years ago, when I was in college and driving home to New Mexico from Utah. I think I’m just a smart driver (except in parking lots, apparently) because I hate going below or right at the speed limit. I think I just know that magic speed to drive at that’s fast enough, but not too fast to get pulled over.
My second birthday. I’m such a girl – look at all that jewelry! Ring, necklace, and multiple bracelets!

3 – I taught myself to read. I don’t remember this, but my mom said that one day I brought a book up to her and told her I would read it for her. I did, and she just assumed that I had memorized the book. She picked up another book, and I read it to her, and so she picked up another book and I read it to her. She was finally convinced that I really did know how to read!!

4 – My mom was in labor for less than an hour with me. She went into labor just after midnight, and I was born at 1:01am. I must have been really eager to get out of there.

Me and one of my younger sisters. I think I had that haircut for most of my childhood!! And I still often do that with my foot when I am standing.

5 – This last one is shameless self-promotion!! I am working on my own business. If you are into scrapbooking at all – you should check it out at www.scrapifieds.com and let me know what you think!!

Since this has been making the rounds among the blogs I normally read, I thought it would be fun to tag some of the new Daring Bakers that I have just discovered. If you are tagged and have already done this, please don’t feel obligated to do it again, but please let me know so that I can go back and read when you posted so I can get to know you!

1 – Holly at Phe/MOM/enon
2 – Celeste at Sugar & Spice
3 – Heidi at Tasty Sensations
4 – Allison at Cinnamon Love
5 – Cara at The Picky Apple

And don’t forget to enter my little drawing!! You have until next Tuesday. You can enter here if you haven’t already!

Ha ha, I was eagerly awaiting this one. I was going to get mad if you didn’t do it.

You’re so cute in all of those pictures! That looks like a stylish haircut.
Parking lots kind of freak me out, too. There are no rules in a parking lot, so everyone is just driving everywhere, and speeding, etc.

I’ll go check out your site.

  2. Mary says:

Thanks for sharing all that neat stuff and the photos! I drive at about 4-5 miles an hour over the speed limit and that seems to keep the cops at bay! No tickets for me either!

  3. PheMom says:

OK, I’ll get on it. Hmmm… I wonder if I have some pictures too. They should be pretty funny. We’ll see. Thanks for tagging me.

I want to get into scrapbooking, so I’ll definately be checking that out.

Loved your comments on my last post! You were cracking me up! I too was a frequent offender of the “wet ponytail” look and have enough hair for 2-3 people. It’s one of the main reasons I lopped off all my hair! But I think as long as you’re doing it b/c you’re working out, it’s semi-excusable. Just don’t make a habit of it – wink, wink;)

  5. Judy says:

    Where in New Mexico?

You sure were a cutie! I bet you still are, too. : )

  6. glamah16 says:

You were a cutie pie! I too am scared in parking lots because of some fender benders. It happens so suddenly. I love the part about picking up a book and teaching yourself to read. Smart child, but that doesn’t surprise me!

  7. PheMom says:

OK, I did it. I posted some other pictures because I couldn’t find any of me.
