While researching what we wanted to do while we were going to be in Seattle, I wanted to make sure I added a few things to the list that we could do in case there was inclement weather – aka Seattle rain. I sure am glad I made that list, because sure enough, it poured rain the entire Saturday that we were there.
The Seattle Children’s Museum was one of those things on the list. My kids have really started getting into different hands-on, interactive museums lately, so I knew this would be a hit.
Located in the Seattle Center, just steps from the Space Needle, the museum is a fun hands on experience for kids 10 months old to 10 years old. Kids can do anything from shop at a kid sized grocery store, drive a bus or fire truck, or exploring neighborhoods from around the world.
We were there for about 2 hours, but could have easily spent more time. The museum was quite busy, but there was still plenty to do. And my kids talked about it for days after, which is always a good sign!!
If you have young children, I would definitely recommend visiting the Seattle Children’s Museum when you are looking for some fun, indoor adventure!
