Ok – before I get started, I’d love your feedback.  This is my third installment of “Recipe Redos”.  I’ve actually been re-making a lot of my old recipes, and have quite a stockpile.  So here is where I need your input.  Would you rather keep seeing the updates like this – in a round-up sort of post where I just point you back to the original recipe, or should I take one day a week – a day I don’t normally post – and show a whole updated post?  Since I’m incapable of making decisions on my own, I’d love to hear how you all would like to see them!

I am a bit of a slacker.  I went through and made a list of all of the recipes that I’ve rephotographed, and many of these were done 6+ months ago and I haven’t gotten around to showing them to you yet.  It looks like I need some better organization, because these definitely deserve a new 15 minutes of fame!  We’ve got a little bit of everything – a family favorite, a super easy pasta, a couple of desserts, and even though the weather is warming up, I threw in a soup.  Because that soup is seriously good enough to be eaten year round!

I hope you enjoy!

  1. Wow, so many great recipe re-do’s! I love seeing old posts come to life again. Reminds us of some oldies but goodies!
Personally, I love the idea of showcasing one (or maybe two) recipes at a time. Really puts the spotlight on the recipe. Most likely, if it’s blog worthy in the first place, it’s probably worthy of its own post. 🙂 But if you don’t have the space/time to post re-do’s one at a time, maybe group a couple that pair well together in one post?? Like a main dish and a side or two party appetizers or something like that? Any way you do it though, I’ll love it 🙂

What a great idea! I seriously might have to do this myself since my early post have terrible photos! I liked the round-up, but I would also love a full post so I am no help! I DESPISE making decisions! Either way I am so excited to your recipe redos!

You know my opinion on this!

  4. Thank you for doing this. This way new readers (like me!) can get a gimps of your past cooking adventures. Those marshmallow bars look amazing.

  5. I love the round-up, especially those brownies!

  6. I love the idea of doing the re-do and pointing to the old recipe. Maybe spotlight the re-do and why you are still making and re-doing the photos but still point the old posts. I know I don’t have a problem clicking the link!!

And can I just say… Bacon+Brie+Carbs = dinner this week!!

  7. Judy says:

I like it this way because I can go through & pick out what I or my family would like & then have a closer look at them.

  8. Oh my goodness, where to begin?! Everything looks so darn scrumptious!

  9. Chels R. says:

Those all look so amazing! I say take the one day a week that you wouldn’t normally do anything and spotlight one or two. These all just look so good! Those brownies have me drooling!

  10. Joanne says:

I actually LOVE these because they remind me of all the recipes that I’d forgotten about but really want to make! Like those disappearing marshmallow bars..YES.

  11. I like the one day a week post. But either way, good for you for going back and taking new pics, I’m hoping to do the same thing!

  12. I’ve been redoing my pictures for “earlier” and I usually just update then pimp it out on Pinterest, FB etc. I like how you are actually making a post out of them!

  13. I absolutely love these re-do posts! I may just have to do it myself!
