It’s time for a winner!! I was afraid that just about everyone had this book, but it sounds like quite a few of you are dying to have it. And the winner is:

Email me your mailing information to tasteandtell @ gmail . com (no spaces) by Friday May 8th. If I haven’t heard from you by then, I will choose another winner.

This book was so much fun. It’s been quite some time since I did a baking book for the Cookbook of the Month, so it was a nice change to “have” to bake every week!

I do admit that I had a very hard time choosing what to make, though, because everything looks and sounds so good! There is a wide variety of treats, so there is something to satisfy everyone – no matter your craving.

Out of the 4 recipes I tried, there was only one miss – but 3 hits – so I’d say that’s pretty good! I would love to visit the bakery that the book is named after, but in the meantime, I’ll have to stick with the book!

April Recipes:

Millionaires Shortbread

Black Forest Chocolate Cookies

Butterscotch Pudding Tarts

Root Beer Bundt Cake

Average Rating: 4.15 out of 5

The Cookbook of the Month for May is Paula Deen’s The Deen Family Cookbook. I was actually eyeing this book several weeks ago, but didn’t purchase it. Then last week, I was watching the Rachael Ray show and Paula Deen was on making one of her recipes from the book. I just had to have it after that!! I’m excited to see how the recipes turn out.

And I know the last 2 months, I’ve given away a copy of the Cookbook of the Month. I’m going to be giving away a copy this month, too – but it’s going to work a bit differently! Come back tomorrow for an announcement, and I’ll let you know then how to win a copy of this book!

My husband had a Paula Deen cookbook when we got married…it’s not the one you have, and I don’t know if I’ve ever made anything out of it!

I almost bought Baked, but I put it back and bought a cupcake book instead. I’ll have to check it out.

Totally looking forward to next month’s cookbook. I love Paula Deen! 🙂
