Since I'm a stay-at-home-mom and I love to cook, I take advantage of big meals. I try and make two batches out of many meals, so I can freeze the other half. That way, when we have a busy day and come home frazzled not knowing what to eat, I can pull something out of the freezer and it instantly becomes a worry free dinner.

  2. I love kitchen tips ~ so much, that I dedicated a section of my blog to that very subject. My two faves are: peel and grate your ginger root and then freeze it. When you need fresh ginger, just grate and go! The next one is to mash and freeze over ripe bananas and pour into ice cube trays. Then pop a cube or two into your favorite smoothie.

If you are using green onions, use the green only, and stick the white bulb in a clear glass of water. It regrows in less than two weeks. It also looks cool on the counter!
