• Meatballs for Sher

  Last Sunday, the food blogging world lost one of their own – Sher from What Did You Eat? I didn’t know Sher on a personal level, but I have been reading her blog since I first became a Daring Baker, over a year ago. I got to know her through her love of food and her love for her cats. There was never a post that went by that I didn’t drool at her beautiful photographs and the wonderful food she made.

  If I were to say the first thing that comes to my mind when you mention Sher’s blog, it would be meatballs. She loved meatballs, and brought many versions of them on her blog. I can’t even tell you how many I have bookmarked! So as a tribute to Sher and her impact on the food blogging world, I made her Spaghetti With Turkey Meatballs And Sundried Tomatoes.

  What a treat these were! I made them just as Sher had posted – the only changes I made was to substitute ground chicken for the turkey, and I used fresh oregano instead of dried. And I cleared my plate, plus stole a few extra meatballs! I’m hoping that Sher’s family will keep her blog up so that we can all continue to honor and remember her through the food that she shared with the world.

  You will be missed Sher!
