Favorite Family Recipes

Bio: Favorite Family Recipes started out as a way for us sisters to swap our favorite recipes. Turns out, there were other people out there who wanted to get in on our recipes too! We are always happy to share our recipes whether they are recipes that have been passed down through our family or new recipes that we have created or tried.

Get Off Your Butt and Bake

Bio: Growing up, I learned to cook from my sweet Mom. She was busy raising 6 kids and often left the cookie jar task to me. As long as I would clean up the mess, she gave me free reign in her kitchen. My passion was creating desserts & other delectable sweets.  I had 3 pesky brothers, who emptied the cookie jar as fast as I could fill it. It seemed they were always yelling . . . “Get Off Your Butt and Bake something!”  The name just fits.

Mel’s Kitchen Cafe

Bio: I started this home-grown food blog simply as a way for me to categorize and keep my personal favorite recipes in one easily accessible place and to encourage my hobby of cooking and baking. Several years later, this blog still houses my favorite tried-and-true recipes as well as the new, dishes and desserts I’ve made and loved. My goal is mainly to prove to myself that I can make healthy, delicious, simple (with the occasional splurge on time and ingredients) recipes for my family.

Skinny Taste

Bio: At Skinnytaste.com, you’ll find healthy dishes that don’t sacrifice any of the flavor that can be found in their full-fat origins.  My creations must be both “skinny” and “tasty” because after all, this is the same food I cook on a daily basis for friends and family, and they are some of my toughest critics!

Sweet Treats and More

Bio: Hi, I’m Kristy.  I’m a stay at home mom to two little boys, a lover of all things sweet, a diet coke addict, and an avid runner.  This is where I share everything from sweet and indulgent treats to simple, family-friendly meals.  Whether I’m baking or cooking, I like to keep things simple without sacrificing great taste. I try to cook healthy meals for my growing little family, but I always, ALWAYS save room for a little dessert, especially cookies…or anything with chocolate and peanut butter in it (but preferably both)!

The Girl Who Ate Everything

Bio: I have always loved food but didn’t really start cooking and baking until I got married and realized I needed to feed this huge man! The Man Who Ate Everything gets the benefits of the dishes that turn out and stomaches the ones that don’t. I usually like to follow a recipe the first time and then make changes as I feel after that.  I started working for Tablespoon and General Mills in October of 2010 doing freelance writing and recipe development.
